Designed and led by young people

Episode 13 features multidisciplinary Māori artist Bethany Matai Edmunds. The work Edmunds does extends past weaving and music, past self reflection and cultural connection and reaches even further into various youth programs in Aotearoa (NZ).


One such program is the work of is the MYD or The Ministry of Youth Development - Te Manatu Whakahiato Taiohi which develops and promotes Active Youth Citizenship. This program is young people, aged between 12 and 24 years old, using their knowledge, skills and experience to participate confidently in their communities. The organization offers opportunity for youth to apply for funding on projects and ideas.
